We were so stinkin excited, I can't even convey it in words! LOL! There was much shrieking and laughing and happy Snoopy dancing all around!
We had truly started to wonder if these hens were eeeeevvvvveeeeerrrrr gonna lay some eggs, and now we have at least two hens that are laying. Thank goodness because at this point we have so much money and sweat equity invested in these crazy chickens that it would have been a profound tragedy never to get a single egg. :)
Ahhhh.... we will be having fresh cheese eggs for breakfast... the kids can hardly wait!

YAYYYYYYYY!!!!! This is a red letter day for sure! Meanwhile, in Minnesota?...We're due for a huge snowstorm with 6-10 inches.
Not so "yay"!
Way to go! I was wondering when they were going to start laying eggs for you! The kids look so happy in the pictures. I hope you enjoyed your breakfast! :-)
Your kids look so thrilled! I'm glad the hens are finally laying ;)
Yay!!! Eggs!!!
Let us know how they are and what differences you can describe :o)
Enjoy!
We are so lucky to have a lady at dh office that brings us real eggs once in a while.
So much better than store bought. And since eggs are up at least 3% this year your sweat equity will really pay off.
I wish the realestate market would pick up so we could move outof the Homeowners Association and into a nice little nieghborhood like yours where we could have chickens and the darlings could have bunnies. Little yapping dogs are allowed but not a rabbit hutch. Go figure.
You've got a sweet and rich home, enjoy!
I'm sorry : typos
Eggs are up 30%
Holy cow!
