Wow, thank you all for the responses. I appreciate your advice. I think I will definitely not give them any money. Kristin was right when she pointed out in the comments that we paid $125 when we adopted the dog which covered way more than the cost of his vaccines and when they adopt him out again, the next owners will pay the same fee, so they are NOT losing money on this dog by any means!!!!
You guys have really set my mind at ease. Thank you!
