2007 Meme
As seen over at Melanie's . . .[She's a really neat mommy I know!]
1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
Had an eclamptic seizure, almost died, got brain damage, got abandoned by my husband, lived as a single mom of 5 kids for 3 months, reconciled... geez.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I made any resolutions last year.
For 2008 I want to get my prayer life back on track, get to Adoration at least once a week, and continue to exercise with the kids and eat healthy.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I gave birth. :) Two of my best friends gave birth. It was a good year for really great babies.

Yes, my grandmother [my last surviving grandparent]. She was in her 80s and suffering horribly with alzheimers, but it still was very painful to lose her.

I feel like I failed in so many ways, but when I think about it, almost all of the things I failed at were totally beyond my control.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yep. [see eclamptic seizure above]. Also suffered from hypertensive encephalopathy for about 3 months post partum because my blood pressure was so high from the pregnancy that it was damaging my brain.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A Jeep double stroller that is super light weight, portable, and easy to push - I got it for $10 at a consignment sale and we have REALLY gotten our money's worth out of that on our walks!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Mine - I didn't go completely crazy nor kill myself [or anyone else].
My children - they are amazing and wonderful.

My husband's.

My husband.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
The Baby Monkey.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007.

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"Baby...did you forget to take your meds?" LOL! [I'm not kidding, this is really a song... ;) "Meds" by Placebo - but the video is not for kids, or good Christians actually ]
OK, so if anyone made it through all that - I tag YOU - comment and let me know I can come read your answers on your blog! And I hope your 2007 was less depressing than mine seems to have been!
