38 Years Ago Today....

I was born!

I had a great birthday today! It started with Mass this morning and the kids were so GOOD! I got to stay for the whole Mass and got to receive Communion - YAY! After Mass Monkey3 went to PSR and I got to have breakfast [sort of] with one of my best friends. Our Church has started this morning social thing after every 8:30 Mass where we gather in the school cafeteria for breakfast [pastry/coffee] after Mass each Sunday. It is so neat! I went over today with my friend and her family. My friend's birthday was yesterday, so it was a great weekend for Mommy Birthdays! [I have another friend's birthday coming up in October too!]

Then we went to my mom and dad's house and my brother grilled out. My brother is an AWESOME cook, and he has this new custom made grill he paid a guy to build him. It is pretty cool! He made ribs, chicken, pork butt, baked beans, vegetable casserole... man! And my SIL brought strawberry short cake and lemon cheesecake. My mom made home made macaroni and cheese and my sister brought Greek Salad [my favorite]. It was a delicious day!



That's my brother with his custom made grill! It even has pigs on top! LOL!





Monkey5 spent most of the day on my back, but she did give me breaks while she went to my dad. He is her second favorite person in the world.



Of course, it might be because he feeds her anything she wants. Above, you can see her chowing on some ribs her uncle made! I'm pretty sure 8 month olds aren't supposed to eat ribs!



Here are my Sister, Sister in Law, my Brother, and I in my parents' yard today.


Here is Monkey1 looking cute and petting my Aunt's dog, "Charlie". My aunt came for my birthday party too, and it was so awesome to see her again! I hadn't seen her since my grandmother's funeral in February. She's a really precious lady. She brought her little dog, Charlie, with her - I think she doesn't travel without him. I don't usually like little dogs, but Charlie was so very cute, he was hard to resist.


Here is "The Boy". He had a blast at his grandparents' house too. I can't believe how tall he's getting - he's growing like a weed!

I never did get a picture of Monkey4. I think its because she never slowed down long enough for me to try to get a shot!

It was a great day. I enjoyed it so much. I just feel so peaceful right now - I feel like I'm at a place where no matter what happens, I trust Jesus to take care of me. That is a nice place to be!

I also feel overwhelmingly grateful. God has been SO good to me in all these years on Earth. I am so, SO happy with all His blessings - thank you Lord!
