Why is it that my 2yo can ALWAYS find a pencil, pen, crayon, marker or colored pencil ANYTIME she wants to draw on walls, bedding, furniture, clothing, other children, toys, pets, or herself; but *I* can NEVER find a single writing utensil when I desperately need one?

I don't know. It's something 2yo have built into them - then they grow out of it. it's all i've got!
I sooo can relate!
This is one of the things that makes me nervous when I consider Homeschooling. Any great tips? Keep it simple maybe?
What makes Homeschooling do-able for me is using a "boxed" curriculum [we use Seton]. It is all "done" for me - I just have to open the books and teach.
For the little ones, I get them their own work books and coloring books so they have "their" school as well. In addition, I have puzzles and lacing shapes and things like that which they can only play with during school. That helps a lot.
And, unfortunately, it isn't while we are doing school that she's coloring the walls - it is always at other times, like when I am diapering the baby, or cooking dinner... LOL!
